We run an enterprise project in collaboration with ATHAC CIC called Crafting for All. Our monthly sessions provide an opportunity for people with a learning disability or specific learning need to gain practical enterprise and traditional crafting skills. By the end of the project the makers will have produced quality hand-made items to sell at a local craft market.

COVID has got in the way of this project, but not stopped it! We are sending craft kits to our group to do at home. We’ll resume the craft workshops and skills development with makers when it is safe to do so. Just look at all the wonderful things people are making!

This project is a collaboration between The Hive and ATHAC

The Hive is a community craft and heritage venue with an organic cafe and bakery and exhibition spaces, located in the Jewellery Quarter. It is run by the Ruskin Mill Land Trust. We are proud to offer a friendly and inclusive welcome to all our visitors.
Currently we have funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and run craft projects for a range of different groups as part of our heritage programme.

The sessions will be coordinated and supported by ATHAC who provide services to help individuals and their families Access to Heritage Arts and Culture as well as training and skill-based learning opportunities.
